I ended up canceling my Manning subscription because I just wasn’t using it enough anymore. I felt a little frustrated trying to find the cancellation option, since it wasn’t super obvious at first and took me a few minutes of clicking around.
I did reach out about the refund, and support got back to me eventually. They were polite and handled it fine, but the wait made me feel a bit anxious because I wasn’t sure how long the whole thing was going to take.
In the end, I did get my money back, so I’m relieved and I can’t really complain too much. Still, the cancellation and refund process could definitely feel smoother and less confusing.

I ordered from outside the US, and the shipping options were easy to choose from overall. That said, I was expecting the instructions to be a little clearer, especially around timing and what to expect after checkout. It took a bit longer than I hoped, but the tracking worked well and the book arrived in good condition. Good experience overall

The tracking updates were inaccurate the whole time. I get that things can be delayed, but you’d expect the tracking to at least show something close to what’s actually happening...

I don’t know why people act like it’s always a hassle, but changing my promo email settings was straightforward for me. I adjusted what I wanted, and I haven’t been getting annoying extra emails since. i’m happy with it.

I had a good experience using Manning. I logged in to look up some older purchases, everything was still right where I expected it to be. Downloads, receipts, book updates, all of it was sitting in my account without me having to click around forever.

I also updated a few account details recently, and that went smoothly too. Nothing flashy or overcomplicated, just simple and clear. If you buy tech books and want an easy way to keep track of what you bought, it works really well.

I’ve picked up a few Manning print books recently, and weirdly the first thing I noticed wasn’t even the content, it was how solid they feel. I’ve been dragging one around in my backpack, wedged next to a laptop charger and random stuff, and the binding is still tight with no pages trying to escape.
The paper is also better than I expected. It’s thick enough that I’m not worried about tearing it when I flip back and forth, which I do a lot because I never read technical books in a straight line. The pages don’t feel flimsy or see-through either, so overall I’m happy with the quality.

It’s easy enough to use, I guess, and most of the time it does what I need. That said, it can be a little slow to load sometimes, so I’m not fully sold on it yet.
